Key Report Highlights:

• The 2025 American Board of Medical Microbiology salary survey was deployed in Nov. 2025. 
• The Personnel Standards & Workforce Subcommittee launched a Medical Laboratory Scientist workforce survey in March 2026.
• The Professional Development Subcommittee created a short video series explaining statistical methods from journal articles.
• The Diagnostic Stewardship Working Group was established under the leadership of the Laboratory Practices Subcommittee (LPS), and in collaboration with the ¶¶ÒõÈÈÃÅ Health Unit.
• LPS published multiple manuscripts and emerging pathogen FAQs.
• The CPEP subcommittee is currently overseeing 22 microbiology and 3 immunology fellowship programs, with 1 new (microbiology) program under review.
• The Coding & Reimbursement Subcommittee has been involved in the submission and approval of new CPT codes as well as proposing rates for these codes.
• The Clinical Microbiology Evidence-based Guideline subcommittee (formerly known as Evidence-based Laboratory Medicine Practice Guidelines) published a scoping review on the impact of gastrointestinal multiplexed pathogen panels on clinical and healthcare utilization outcomes.
• The Clinical Microbiology Mentoring Subcommittee hosted 2 webinars on career advancement.
